How does PDO Face Threadlift work?
The thread is made of Polydioxanone (PDO), synthetic absorbable thread is commonly used in cardiovascular surgery and fine ligatures. They are 100% bio compatible. It's inserted in deep tissue.
This non-surgical threadlift that does not involve cutting or stitching, using absorbable ultra-fine threads that are inserted under the skin with no down time (Results vary based on the individual).
Prior to the thread lift, local anesthesia will be applied to the treatment area to numb the skin and minimise pain. Threads will be inserted in the specified area and will take approximately 10 to 30 minutes to complete.
Threads may vary in length and thickness, subject to the treatment area. Shorter threads are generally used to treat fine lines in and around the eye area, while longer threads can fix and lift the neck and jawlines.
This lifts the skin and forms new collagen around the threads with time, rejuvenating the skin from inside out. Over time tissue forms around the cones, the latter then dissolves leaving the skin and new tissue anchored in place. Collagen and elastin skin proteins start to form and the skin is lifted and becomes tighter and more youthful, resembling a more streamlined "V" shape.
Suitable Patients: It is suitable for those who have mild to moderate sagging of the skin, and wish to restore the youthfulness back to their skin with minimal downtime (Results vary based on the individual).
Possible Results To Expect:
The results will last for about 12~18 months and possibly longer (Results vary based on the individual).
